*Jonah*
Reborn 'Sugar' by sculpting artist Donna RuBert.
Hello! I am Kim Fulenchek, owner and creator of
Shea Creations. I have been reborning and sculpting realistic
baby dolls
since August of 2004. All my babies come from a smoke-free clean
environment and are handled with extreme care. I use only
top-quality supplies and products to create exceptional works
of art and the most realistic baby dolls possible.

Jonah started out at a "Sugar" doll kit by Donna RuBert. I spent several hours painting this little boy, creating the perfect infant complexion. Like a newborn, he has tiny whiteheads on the sides of his nose and a little bit on his cheeks. Very small capillaries are on his eyelids and cheeks. He also has faint veins showing in just the right places. Jonah's cute little lips have been sealed and have faux saliva in the crease. I have also given Jonah the appearance of mottled skin on his arms, legs, and belly plate. |

Jonah's torso is made of caucasian doe-suede fabric. It is filled
with squishy silicone-like pellets and topped with FiberFil. His
head, arms, and legs are filled with tiny glass beads, smaller than sand. Because the beads are so fine, they do not rattle inside the vinyl like plastic pellets would and they provide more weight. The limbs have
been sealed with silicone so that the glass beads will not spill out.
Jonah feels so real and cuddly, you won't want to put him down.
Jonah also has a matching vinyl belly plate for posing. This is not attached to him. It simply lays over his fabric torso, tucked into his diaper and tied behind him. It makes the baby look amazingly real!
I have secured a strong earth magnet behind Jonah's mouth and
on his pacifier so that he can easily take a paci without damaging
the vinyl. These magnets should not get near credit cards, cell phones, pace-makers,
and other electronics. Althought I have never experienced it myself,
these strong magnets have been known to cause electronics to stop working, so please take caution. |

Jonah's hair has been painted on with very fine specialty paintbrushes and heat-set oil paints. This took several hours and several tries to get it just right. I have also painted little wispies on his forehead for added realism. |

I took extra care in painting Jonah's eyes. I focused on adding just the right shadows and gave his eyelids tiny red capillaries. I then added a little bit of shine to the creases of Jonah's eyes for a teary look. His eyebrows were painted on with a fine paintbrush and they are so light that they are not very noticeable. I gave Jonah eyelashes by hand-rooting premium mohair with a 42-gauge needle. The lashes are sealed on the inside of the head so they will not fall out. |

I painted thin off-white tips on Jonah's finger & toe nails.
His nails are slightly pinker near the cuticles. I then sealed
the nails with a strong sealer for both protection and slight shine. |
